I prefer google search engine more than yahoo because of the accuracy and listings by google are better. Google successfully attract users by limiting offers in it page compared to yahoo but yahoo looks so messy

Finally news reports are telling them what my log files have told me for ages - Google is more popular.

The reason behind low alexa rank than yahoo is, google has many domains like google.co.in, co.uk etc.. and when you open google.com from your country then by default it will open the google site with other extension (like co.in etc. according to your country).

I didn't mean that yahoo doesn't have the domains in other extensions. But the difference is that when you browse google.com from your country (let us say I am browsing it from India) then it will redirect me to google.co.in while this is not the case with Yahoo.

Not true. Alexa is checking only traffic from their toolbar. People that use google don't use it much, I have google toolbar myself.

I think it depends. Both have their issues. One thing I will say, Google's interface is a LOT cleaner, a lot nicer, and their mail app is far superior. As far as which one is better for searching, though...don't know, google is obviously the industry standard, but that could change.

Lets just compare the big giants in the industry – Google and Yahoo. Both the companies started small and later expanded their network . But I personally think that over the past few years Goolge have earned themselves an upper hand ( Yahoo fans ! Please don’t feel bad ).

Speed - Google is a bit too fast for yahoo I guess. If it weren’t for the stupid ads on yahoo!, it would have been much better. Of course Google has a bit more servers.

Appearance - Google has a simple and very efficient interface. It’s “clean” if you know what I mean. Yahoo on the other hand has a very complex graphical interface. Eye catching, cool, innovative are the words that can describe yahoo. Yahoo wins here.

Mail - Yahoo has a well integrated inbox. The best thing is that you can use templates for outgoing messages unlike Google. But somehow I prefer Google. Why ? Because sometimes simplicity is what matters.

Chat - Google chat is way way better than yahoo messenger. There are many widgets and applets to access G talk. And so in this area there is no confusion. Google – The leader

Utility - I’m sorry yahoo fellows, but Google is far far better in this aspect. Well you might probably argue but it’s Google who does all the hard work inventing but Yahoo copies it with a bit of modifications.

Users – Well It goes like this – You start with yahoo as it is very attractive and when you become acquainted to the Internet, you tend to switch. So you can call Google users experts and Yahoo user’s ” Here for Fun ?”.

So what do you think ? Well my opinion is this :: Why can’t you use them together ? It’s not like you need to hate one to like the other. Just follow each of them for their strengths. And the by just observing the way you use them people can easily identify your personality.

Your best bet is to delete the file you already downloaded (you can right click and find it in its folder in iTunes).
