Hello!

Recently I have been updating my site, changing some tags, headers and such, I have also took a big dump on Google...search term gift baskets. I think I repeat this every time I move back!!

Does it take a while for things to catch up when you update and move things around?

How long has it been since you lost your ranks?

You are at position 127 at the datacenter I checked.

Many are reporting similar problems, but after 3-5 days their positions are being restored. Hopefully the same will apply with you as well. :)

Hello!

It has been several weeks. My IT manager says it may take a few more weeks before things come up. In the past he has not been wrong, however I am impatient and I know I shouldnt be.. We are almost upon the "J" months the slowest moving months.

Have you been building links to your Website? Has your number of backlinks dropped in Webmaster Tools?

If there is a free version...please let me know.

I have been working on other campaigns, again am putting all my apples in one bucket.. I have been working on get well gift baskets, and other key terms. I can see my other key terms are moving closer to 1.

Michele, I went to this 1000 rank check (http://www.web-backlinks.com/google-serps-position-checker.asp), added your domain (no http or www.) then typed in: allinanchor:gift baskets Today you are at position 123.

It almost looks like Google may have discounted/devalued some of your backlinks. Did you have any sitewide links? Also if Google suspects paid links, they may devalue a lot more then paid links. I'm not saying this is the case, but Google has been known to make errors. If this just happened for a 5-7 days, I'd say maybe Google is rebuilding its database. But you noted this was the case for weeks, so that has me thinking something more may be going on...

I have been using the keyword tool over at mozilla its one I downloaded from SEO BOOK. Actually I have been monitoring the search term gift baskets and it is going up... mid last week I was in the 140'

I have been working on many link stratages..NO BUYING LINKS.

I wonder if your serp movement is not the result of Google's "Dewey" algorithm update. Even though that update occured well over a month ago, it was not immediately rolled out to all the servers.

How are your other long tailed keywords holding up?

Actually I have been monitoring my campains I am working on and in a lot of cases the key words are moving up. So that there is a good sign.

Hi avvy. I use a few online rank checks and online pr checks, but most everything else is done by software. But if you are looking for a specific tool, chances are its available online!
