I get some traffic from free classified sites including soprano.com and craigslist.org. While expensive, Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing work.

I would continue directory submissions to new directories. It's an ongoing process.

I also buy blog reviews. Some people also do blog commenting. :)

You can also do article submissions, buy blog reviews use yahoo answers (for traffic not PR).

I've been trying yahoo answers lately and yes they do bring in traffic. You may also consider joining yahoo groups.

I get more than 60% traffic from the search engine hence I would suggest you to do SEO for your site. Write unique contents like articles (which are related to your site), blog etc.

SEO is very important to get quality traffic. Besides that, I do have a lot of links out there on related sites so that sends me steady traffic as well. If you have excellent content, people will bookmark your site and direct traffic will continue to grow as more people bookmark your site. That's why the old saying is true - content is king. :)

Yes, SEO is a great way to get unique traffic from search engine. So try to do SEO for your site.

Directory submission takes lot of time. Some directories takes months to listed your site. But Forum posting is quick and easy. It gives backlinks and traffic also.

Forum participation is a great method to build links. But you should have knowledge to post or reply yo threads. Use do-follow forums only.

Use do-follow niche related blogs

(4)Social Bookmarking
Use Do-follow sites
(5) Participation in Social networking sites such as facebook.
