Yahoo as a search engine?

Do you still use yahoo as a search engine after google. I used to use yahoo previously but ever since google entered the scene, i have switched my loyalty to google because of its accurate and perfect search result. I guess that yahoo still have a long way to reach that stage. what do you say?

I think the results shown by google are getting boring. when I enter a keyword many times it shows the same results. it should show new websites too.

Yes, google is my numero uno, but I still occasionally will use ask.com if you do not find what I am looking for on google. I did not even know that yahoo has a search engine.

google is my homepage i love it that much :p theres just something about yahoo i dont like. ive always liked google because the homepage was the actual search engine, whereas if you type yahooDOTcom then it comes up with a main page with only a small search box, whereas google's homepage is dedicated...

well, i think google is the best search engine to use.....

Both can be used as a search engine. BOth are good. I meant it. I prefer use yahoo but sometimes I will use google too. Personally I will say that I will use both in searching anything.

In most time I prefer to use google as it give more accurate results then other search engines but sometimes I also use Yahoo (hardly 5-6 times in a week or so).

It seems like everyone love to use yahoo and google as their search engine. NO doubts. If we always use yahoo, then we will think that yahoo is the best and instead. Why don't we use both so the information we got will be more.

I keep google suggest as my homepage. I go to yahoo only when I really can't find something on google and that's very rare :)

Sometimes people don't like to use things that they never used unless the things that they want to use are multi-function or very useful to be used. It is same about yahoo and google. I used yahoo as my search engine long time ago. It's hard to change to google but as mentioned by jitendraag, we will use other altenatives to get an information from other search engines if we can't get from our primary.

Yes Google is far better than Yahoo but there are still Yahoo lovers, well I love Google and prefer to use it over any other search engine

I used the top three Search engines. Yahoo is still one of most users favorite SE right? Google and yahoo are on top and both SE works good. :)

i still keep using yahoo...but most of the time i do searching in google...it provides vast results than any other SE...;)

Ya google is the best search engine. Its very fast and accurate. I never used yahoo for search. :)

Yahoo as a search engine? No way! a couple of months ago I searched a couple of terms in Yahoo again and still got some crap SERPs. Google is the best search engine out there.

Yup! I am using yahoo and bing after google. I think these are the best search engines after google. But first priority always goes to google.

Yahoo and Google both search engines are best. Most probably, person use Google as a search Engine. Yahoo also offers many search options on its search portal page; including the capacity to search the Web, search for images only, search in the Yahoo Directory. In Google, it easily manage custom synonyms for your search engine from the Custom Search control panel.

For me, Yahoo is not that popular as a search engine because of some inefficiency answer that it gives. I love the most is Google because of its accuracy query results, It actually depends on the person on how they will treat yahoo and google as their search engine and vice versa:)

I think Google is one of the best search engine from other. Yahoo is not so good from Google.


Google and Yahoo have their own algorithm on they will ranked one site. They are both different in ranking a site so they have their own way in weighting each and every site.

Sometimes you can find what you are looking for in Yahoo that you can find in Google. Google has a high standards in ranking and using relativity in their search results while Yahoo is focusing in the sites on-page factor.

All in all Yahoo as a search engine can you more and gives some information too. Yahoo tends to focus in more personal search and not like Google who is more focus in business factor.

According to me... Very few people are using yahoo search engine still..!!
