Question to phpld directory owners - Mods

Hi Folks:

I was thinking about all the mods available for phpld (and other scripts too, but we will stick to phpld here). Which ones are your favorite mods?

I like the AJAX category mod the most.

deep link submission mod gets my vote. It's an added value for submitters to get some internal links.

What about yearly / permanent featured link mod? And some spam fighting mods. I see many directories blocking IP ranges depending on geographical location.

Adding recaptcha is supposed to be the best anti-spam measure available. With phpLD 3.x one can block external submissions, force unique submission session, in addition to captcha. That works for me. However, the drawback to forcing unique submission sessions is that those sessions expire after ten minutes. Ten minutes is not a long time, especially with a deep link mod. :)

I would most likely never consider permanent featured links. A directory has to be pretty well established, and ranking well, to justify a suitable permanent featured link price.

Interesting that some directory owners are blocking traffic. I bet if these directories turn paid, they will remove the restrictions...
