Redemption period

Hi,

You might heard about domain Redemption period. After few days of the expiration domain goes in the redemption period and then pending delete status. After pending delete the domain becames available again to purchse. I just want to know is there any fix days for redepmtion period after domain expiration? or it depends on the registrar ?
