All are concerned about their site traffic and SEOof their site. To get the targeted traffic you will have to do search engine optimization for your site. Below are the few tip to SEO:

- Link Exchange:
It is one of the best way to increase the number backlinks for your domain. Which helps to improve PR of your site. It is recommended to exchange the link with other site which are related to your site. Google will consider only quality backlinks.

- Unique contents:
Search engines love unique contents. That means if you have unique contents then you may get higher position in the search results.

- Update your site time by time:
You should update your site time by time and also you shall add new contents to your site regularly.

- Social bookmarking:
You can use social bookmarking to get quality backlinks for your site. Few social bookmarking sites are dig, stumbleupon etc.

There are many other way to optimize your site and get quality backlinks.

yeah, you have your point jessyalba, when you say backlinks it has nothing to do with the content. What we need is a good quality links from a reputable and related site. For backlinks we can also do link trade.

I would definately agree here. I find being a guest blogger on other blogs is great for both backlinks and side stepping the nofollow tags.

I agree these are great ways, but sometimes you need to think out of the box and do something a little different than what most people are doing.

About link exchange:
– Google can penalize your site especially if your site is linked to a site that is banned or penalized by google. So, some sort of care is required before doing link exchange. While exchanging links many of the things are there which needs to be taken care of like, it should be related with your website, it should not have numerous popups, it shouldn’t be like link farm with no other unique content, partner sites should not be casino or porn related, it should not have more than 30-40 outbound links on your link page, page from your link is coming should be indexed in search engine and it must have equal or more PR than your site.

– Link Partners can delete another’s link from their site as this will decrease the count of outbound links from their site. This is one of the major drawbacks in doing link exchange.
