Submit site to search engines

Hi,

Can someone provide me free software or web site that submit the sites to hundreds of major search engines? I have used freewebsubmisson but it submits the site to 40 search engines only.

Kailash: I think nowadays MOST search engines (atleast the ones that matter) are smart and fast enough pick new websites within 48/72 hours. Just get your website linked from a forum / social bookmarking site / frequently indexed blog and you don't need to bother about submitting to search engines.

Submitting to search engines was important in 2000. Not now :)

But you r not submit your site to directories then search engine submission is helpful for your site.

Is is really important to submit your site to a Search Engine? I read some post before from different forums and blog post that submitting your site to a search engine doesn't make sense at all... I wonder why...

Search engine submission is not important now. You have to build backlinks. Search engine will grab your site automatically.

the best way you can do is build quality links and write good content...

Most search engines are capable of grabbing new websites quickly. Google, Yahoo, Msn are top search engines we have to focus. If you have enough backlinks above search engines will add your site to their index.
I think its a waste of time to submit your site to other search engines.

I think if you have a new site, Firstly you should submit on major search engine. Its helping for indexing.
