Hi to all,
I just came here after a very detailed and helpful comment was left on a blog post on my blog at Pixelheadonline. I work at home with my wife as an internet marketing specialist, with our bread and butter being SEO.

SEO is a huge field that will be undergoing a large shift in the educational system within the next couple of years with programs being developed ranging from simple certificate programs to doctoral degree SEO engineer programs.

Anyway, that is my SEO spiel for the day. :)

That might have been me that left the comment on your very informative blog. :) For anyone here that has not visited your site yet, I recommend heading over to your Blog (http://www.pixelheadonline.com/blog/) for some good reading. There's a few directory owners that drop in here that will be glad to know you operate a Web Directory (http://www.pixelheadonline.com) as well.

The shift you speak of in the SEO industry will be here sooner then we know. There's good and bad points to it. How client's deal with this will be interesting. Once the certification/degree programs start spawning a new breed of SEO professional, their educational background will become a good marketing tool for them to attract new clients. I see some potential clients demanding SEO certification at a minimum. Instead of adapting to an algorithm, many of us will have to take steps to formalize our SEO knowledge. It will be interesting to see how these changes influence our industry.
