Is 2 yrs for a business a gateway?

Hello!

In your opinion, do you feel that two years for a business, is a gate way to more traffic in regard to the search engines knowing that you have reached a two year mark?

I know lengthy question, but just wanted everyones opinion.

Hi Michele,

Domain/site age is not a very big factor in SEO. Older sites tend to have plenty of aged backlinks which makes them tougher to compete with. Many refer to the sandbox when their newer site, < 1 year old, does not rank well. It's just a matter of onpage and offpage optimization.

Having said that, I hope that your post refers to your site and that you are getting more traffic! I know for many of us, traffic is down. Once school is back in, traffic normally starts picking up again. But that is niche dependent, but for many of my sites it is accurate.
