View Full Version : Will it be a duplicate content if Google index my page first?

Here is the situation:

Let's say I wrote a good article on my new blog. then I submit the article to another article site for promotion say ezinearticles.com. In this case, Will google think that my site copied the article from them and view my filter my blog out? (apparently, comparing to my new blog, they have the authority).

If yes, is it safer if I wait until Google index my blog post first, then submit to ezinearticles.com. Would this be a solution?

I've seen the same article posted on ezinearticles.com which outranks the same article that was first placed on the owners site. Google does a terrible job of determining which article is the original.

Even if Google indexes your page first, there is no guarantee that your page will be determined to be the "original." One way to help is to using social bookmarking to build some backlinks to your article on your site.

I'm not a big fan of article marketing, and this is one of the reasons why. If people are going to link to you, let them link to your blog instead.

yes you are correct on that. I've read an article and seen other blogs on most social bookmarking site and most of them are similar ... It's really confusing who is the original author

According to my knowledge duplicating contents will not adversely effect your site unless you are maintaining a scrap only site. If you have some utilities to user other than duplicate contents you are ok. Check Google webmaster guidelines.
