I don't live anywhere near the west coast, and the price of fuel just hit $4 for regular unleaded.

It was not too long ago that President Bush was confronted at a news conference about $4 a gallon gas. He seemed mystified at that news conference that gas could reach $4 a gallon by summer. Well, it aint summer and gas is already $4 a gallon. What's next? $5 a gallon?

From what I have seen on the news lately, gasoline may very well cost $5 a gallon during summer. What a drag on the economy...

This is awesome, how price can rise ! I remember a few years ago, how much we paid for it .. and now we pay 3x more ! This will meke a hole in the car industry as I think ! :(

The only way prices will come down is if people stop spending money elsewhere. Then those companies losing billions of dollars will complain that fuel costs are causing their customers to not spend as much.

Prices are expected to continue to raise for awhile yet. I heard that we've reached a limit of the amount of gas that we can get from the ground. And as demand continually increases, so does the price.

Alternative energy source needed very soon!

Here in So. California gas is just about $4.00. In many stations we see over or just at $4.00. I realize for many its hard to stay home, while many members of familys may be out of state or over a hundred miles away.

This summer while kids are off...heres a thought.. Have family game time. Instead of once a week, use the weekend to have a game day.. Each person of the family must choose a different game to play. Divide the day in equal sections and play! To make it more interestesting buy snacks and surprise the young ones, or maybe have a family party...invite the neighbors and kids, tell them BYOS...bring your own snacks and just play!

Have fun all!

The price for gas did go down today, but I see threats to some countries pipelines as driving it back up. Gasoline consumption is down in the US, but there is no escaping the high gas prices.

I bought some fertilizer for the lawn, and the cost was 20% higher then last year. I guess they use petroleum to make the time released components of fetilizer. It's too expensive!

It is amazing how many more motorcycles I see nowadays. I am thinking of getting one because they cost so much less to fill up and can save me a whole chunk of money.

But I agree, it is getting so weird seeing prices these high! I remember two years ago, when gas was under two dollars for a week then it started to rise and just has not stopped.

Here in KC it hit $4 last week and it was the talk of all the papers. I knew it would get this high but talks of it going $5 are insane. Hubby works in the city so no matter what we have to do it. I'd normally say strike but we just can't. Summer at camps or beaches should look quite interesting this summer.

I'm not agreed with the current price of fuel. My country is one of the fuel exporter.
But the price still very high compared to the imported fuel country.

Where are you from? Here in my country, the price of the fuel also increased. I don't have a car or a vehicle powered by fuel but I'm still affected because I'm only commuting when going to work. When the price of the fuel increases, the FARE increases too... So sad...

Well, I think in future if the situation doesn't change, we all will ride a horse! There's plenty of grass everywhere!:)

My father just sold our motorcycle because he can't afford to buy fuel for it..
