This is a new forum, so I will add something of value for those that visit... How does a free edu link sound? Make as many as you want! Here's the details...
Go to hxxp://h2obeta.law.harvard.edu (replace xx with tt)
Click on "login" then "register."
Create a playlist which allows you to have one external URL, plus whatever you place in the info section. Make sure you add tags to the playlist, because this is how the link will be found by search engines.
Now make as many links as you want to any website you own!
Let me know if this helps. :)

thats great find but is it legal? I mean does Havard Uni knows about this? I mean we build a site and what if they delete it?
Just wondering you know, edu backlinks are great but only for PR I guess. No use for traffic> or is it?
Thanks

I'd say not any use for traffic. Just for PR. But Matt Cutts has said edu links are not weighed any better then a .com. Some disagree and believe Google will tell lies to prevent people from spamming edu forums. I tend to agree with Matt Cutts, but I'm not big on edu links anyway. :)

In an interview, Matt Cutts from Google said:
Matt Cutts: Typically, our policy is: a link is a link, is a link; wherever that link's worth is, that is the worth that we give it. Some people ask about links from DMOZ, links from .edu or links from .gov, and they say: "Isn't there some sort of boost? Isn't a link better if it comes from a .edu?" The short answer is: no, it is not. It is just .edu links tend to have higher PageRank, because more people link to .edu's or .gov's.

The value of the link is really determined by PR. Even niche related does not matter.

Be careful when using edu links, unless you really don't care about the quality of links. Often times these types of links are not cached so they won't help you. Also many times these types of links are put up by students, and often when university personal discover the linking situation, pages will be removed.

It almost seems like a social bookmarking site, but for the educated. Very good job is this your site or just a resource you have found.
